“He who works the killing of a man’s soul, kills his own soul, and kills his own body, and there is no cure for him for all time.
He who puts a man in any snare, sticks it in himself, and there is no cure for him for all time.
He who puts a man in any vessel, his judgement will be great at the great judgement for all time.” Book of Enoch
Prison: A building (or vessel) in which people are legally held as punishment for crimes they have committed or awaiting trial.
Being incarcerated is a terrible experience, locked up in tiny cells or damp dungeons — sometimes in chains — denied your freedom, separated from your loved ones and perhaps never able to see the sun or feel its warmth. Even worse if one is innocent of whatever misdeed one is accused of.
Here are links to photographs of prison conditions all over the world:
Our Heavenly Father Almighty Yahweh does not support imprisonment. In the Scriptures, we see that whenever the Hebrew judges solved disputes and anyone had committed a crime that could not be atoned for, they were sentenced to death either by stoning or by the sword; after consultation with Yahweh, or forced into labour but not imprisoned. Likewise for all prisoners of war, they were put to the sword, as Yahweh commanded.
King David put his ten concubines who were raped by his son Absalom under house arrest (2 Samuel 16:21-22; 20:3), this is also confinement.
It is wrong and cruel to confine and enslave your fellow man — prisons were an evil practice of the Gentiles who worshipped Satan and the other fallen angels (see The Great Deception, Pagan gods and Pagan feasts); Joseph was imprisoned by the Egyptians, and later on this system of justice was introduced to the Hebrews by the Romans.
There are even those who keep men, women and children as sex slaves, sweatshop slaves, commercial slaves, industrial slaves and domestic slaves, subjecting them to inhumane conditions and torture — ‘the killing of a man’s soul’ — as human trafficking booms.
The only prison man is decreed by heaven to ever have to live in is hell — the eternal jail — and this sentencing will be executed by the Great and Ultimate Judge, Yahweh Almighty.
