“The Great dragon was hurled down, that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to earth, and his angels with him.” Revelation 12:9
In the Scriptures, we are told that Satan rebelled against Yahweh, and was cast down from heaven. The reason for his rebellion was his desire to be God; his plan is to de-throne Yahweh and deceive mankind to rebel against Yahweh, and so perish along with him and his angels.
“How you have fallen from heaven, Lucifer, son of the morning! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to the heavens: I will raise my throne above the Stars of Yahweh; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, in the sides of the north. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will be like the Most High.’” Isaiah 14:12-14
Satan, who was called Lucifer (the Morning Star) before he was cast down from heaven, always chooses the path of least resistance when attacking us. Yahshua compared Satan to lightning. Lightning always travels the path of least resistance:
“He replied, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.’” Luke 10:18
The devil is also portrayed as a lion:
“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8
The lion is a predator of opportunity, that looks for the injured, the smallest, the youngest or the weakest; the one with the least ability to run or fight.
The devil plagues and torments us in the place where we are most tender and weak. In Paradise he fell not upon Adam, but upon Eve. — The Table Talk of Martin Luther #424
Satan is a ‘master of disguise’, he can take on the form of something pleasant and seemingly harmless, but that is in fact deadly. He may just appear as a pleasant, friendly fellow with a broad face and a round little belly, and NEVER in his true form, which is hideous, since he and his angels were stripped of their beauty and bright nature when they were cast down from heaven.
“And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an Angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11:14
The aim of Santa Claus/Father Christmas/Old Nick/Saint Nicholas is a subtle, deadly attack on our children, to confuse and rob their God-ordained, innocent faith.
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
The rearranging of letters — called anagrams — to hide secret names or words has long been practiced in the occult world. One of the most well known anagrams in the occult world is the name of Sanat Kumara.
…the New Age offers a being called Sanat Kumara. ‘Sanat’ is obviously a thinly veiled reference to Satan; nevertheless, New Age teachers believe that the new spelling will alleviate the concerns of those not yet ready to confess Satan as their Lord and Messiah. — Texe Marrs, Dark Secrets of the New Age, pp. 79-80
Lucifer’s true identity as Satan is Revealed as the Anagram, a Transposition of Letters, To Obscure it. ‘Blinds’, as esoteric call them, includes scrambling the letters of a name to hide the true meaning of a word from the uninitiated. — Gail Riplinger, New Age Versions, p. 52
Santa is Spanish for ‘holy’. Santa is also from the Latin word, ‘sanctus’, which also means ‘saintly’ or ‘holy’. The English words ‘saint’, ‘sanctify’, et al, are derived from ‘santa’.
Yahweh’s Name is called ‘holy’ many times in the Scriptures:
“Let them praise Your Great and Awesome Name; for it is holy.” Psalm 99:3
The name ‘Santa Claus’ is derived from the Dutch ‘Sinter Klaas’, which was also a form of ‘Saint Nicholas’.
‘Claus’ is an anagram for ‘Lucas’ and ‘Lucis’, a New Age code word for ‘Lucifer’. The Alice Bailey-founded New Age publishing company was originally named ‘Lucifer Publishing Company’, but in 1925 the name was changed to ‘Lucis Publishing Company’, then to Lucifer Trust. It is now known as ‘Lucis Trust’, and is a major player in the works of the United Nations (UN) and has consultative status (roster level) with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. The Lucis Trust is the publishing house which prints and disseminates UN material. It is a devastating indictment of the New Age and pagan nature of the UN. At one time, the Lucis Trust office in New York was located at 666 United Nations Plaza. Bailey changed the name to Lucis Trust, because Lucifer Trust revealed the true nature of the New Age Movement too clearly.

Devil: Besides the name Satan, he is also called Beelzebub, Lucifer… and in popular or rustic speech by many familiar terms as Old Nick… — Oxford English Dictionary Vol III D-E
(The New Line Studios 2000 film Little Nicky is about Satan. The tagline for the film is: If Your Father Was The Devil And Your Mother Was An Angel, You’d Be Messed Up Too. Be Unafraid.)
Definition of the slang word nick: to rob or steal. — Robert L. Chapman, American Slang p. 297
Here’s what Yahshua says:
“Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber.” John 10:1
“I Am the gate, whoever enters through Me will be saved; they will come in and go out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come so that they may life, and have it to the full.” John 10:9-10
“And among the seven lampstands was someone like a son of man, dressed in a robe reaching down to His Feet and with a golden sash around His Chest. The Hair on His Head was white like wool, as white as snow, and His Eyes were like blazing fire. His Feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and His Voice was like the sound of rushing waters.” Revelation 1:13-15
Who ‘climbs in by some other way’ — a chimney — with his feet ‘in a furnace’?
Chimney: 1. a structure, usually vertical, containing a passage or flue by which the smoke, gases, etc., of a fire or furnace are carried off and by means of which a draft is created. — Webster’s Dictionary.
Santa climbing down a chimney
A verse from the poem The Night Before Christmas reads:
“He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot;
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.”
“As I looked, thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took His Seat. His Garment was white as snow; the Hair of His Head was white like wool; His Throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze.” Daniel 7:9
Santa/Satan is impersonating our Messiah Yahshua and our Father Yahweh, in his attempt to be ‘like the Most High’.
The famous anthropologist Claude Levi-Strauss wrote in his popular analysis of ‘Father Christmas’:
“Father Christmas is dressed in scarlet; he is a king. His white beard, his furs and his boots, the sleigh in which he travels invoke winter. He is called ‘Father’ and he is an old man, thus he incarnates the benevolent form of the authority of the ancients.”
“And do not call anyone on earth ‘father’, for you have one Father, and He is in heaven.” Matthew 23:9
Father Christmas/Santa is dressed in scarlet.
“Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah, with His clothes dipped in blood? Who is this, robed in splendour, striding forward in the greatness of His strength? ‘It is I, proclaiming victory, mighty to save.’ Why are Your clothes red, like those of one treading the winepress? ‘I have trodden the winepress alone; from the nations no one was with Me. I trampled them in My anger and trod them down in My passion, their blood spattered My clothes, and I stained all My clothing.’” Isaiah 63:1-3
“I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse, Whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice He judges and wages war. His Eyes are like blazing fire, and on His Head are many crowns; He has a Name written on Him that no one knows but He Himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His Name is the Word of Yahweh.” Revelation 19:11-13
Levi-Strauss goes on to write that children believe in Santa, paying homage to him with letters and prayers.
“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” Matthew 21:22
“Take delight in Yahweh, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
Here’s an interesting history on Santa and his chimney (or just a version of Santa in the pre-patriarchal Scandinavian world):
“It seems the ‘chimney tale’ came to us via Thor, the Norse god of thunder and lightning. Thor’s name means ‘thunder’.
Most families in the pre-patriarchal Scandinavian world would have an altar to Thor — their fireplace. Every year on his birthday, December 25th, Thor would come down the chimney to his altar of fire, and bring presents to the kiddies.
Thor was nicknamed ‘Klaus of the cinders’ or ‘Sinter Klaas’, because it was believed he would be singed as he went into the fireplace.
Thor liked to wear furs in red for fire and white for snow. He is usually depicted with a long white beard. He had a place in the north.
And he also rode through the sky in a sled pulled by two goats, named Gnasher and Crasher. Another of Thor’s nicknames was ‘Old Nick’. Thor also carried a trident — Satan’s pitchfork.”
(Satan/Thor/Zeus (god of the sky and king of the gods) are symbolised by the lightning bolt (Luke 10:18))
Santa lives in the North Pole.
“Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of His holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the Great King.” Psalm 48:1-2 (Isaiah 14:12-14)
Santa is a carpenter, and another of Thor’s symbols is a carpenter’s hammer.
Santa the Carpenter
Yahshua was a carpenter:
“‘Is this not the carpenter? Is this not Miriam’s Son, and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas and Simon? Are His sisters not here with us?’ And they were offended by Him.” Mark 6:3
Santa miraculously rides upon the heavens as he delivers his gifts, with his reindeers guiding his merry way.
Santa on his sleigh
Another verse from The Night Before Christmas:
“As dry leaves as before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of toys, and Saint Nicholas too.”
“There is none like the God of Jeshurun, Who rides across the heavens to help you, and on the clouds in His majesty.” Deuteronomy 33:26
Satan is the prince of ‘the power of the air’.
“In which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world, and of the prince of the power of the air, the spirit which is now at work in the children of disobedience.” Ephesians 2:2
Whose laugh is ‘Ho, ho, ho’?
Ho, ho, ho, cherry nose
Cap on head, suit that’s red
Special night, beard that’s white
Must be Santa, Must be Santa
Must be Santa, Santa Claus — from Christmas song written by Hal Moore and Bill Fredericks.
“Ho, ho, come out, and flee from the land of the north, says Yahweh; for I have scattered you abroad like the four winds of the heaven, says Yahweh.” Zechariah 2:10
In 1994, the satire magazine The Onion carried a parody of Santa Claus titled ‘Ho! Ho! Ho! I Am God’:
“I love visiting each and every one of your homes, stuffing your stockings with toys, and enjoying the milk and cookies you leave for me. But mostly I love Christmas because it’s the celebration of the birth of my son, Jesus the Christ. You see, I’m God… Don’t I look familiar? I’m old, I have a white beard, I love everyone. I’m the same God as the one you and your mommy and daddy worship on Sundays…
Okay, I admit it. I’m not God. But I’m better than God. I’m jollier, and I give you real toys, not boring old psalms and empty promises you can only collect on when you die. Worship me, not Him! Worship Santa! I am God!” — The Onion, 29 Nov.-5 Dec., 1994, p.7
Satan’s ultimate goal is to have the world worship him as God. And millions of children are lovingly giving him their love and the status of a ‘saviour’. Parents happily take their children to queue in malls to sit on Santa’s lap and whisper their secrets and requests in his ear.
“People were bringing little children for Him to place His hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Yahshua saw this, He was displeased; He said to them, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of Yahweh belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of Yahweh like a little child will never enter it.” Mark 10:13-15
“People were also bringing babies to Yahshua for Him to place His Hands on them; when the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Yahshua called the little children to Him and said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of Yahweh belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of Yahweh like a little child will never enter it.” Luke 18:15-17
Remember when the devil tempted Yahshua?
“The devil led Him up to a high place and showed Him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to Him, ‘I will give you all their authority and splendour, it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. If you worship me, it will all be Yours. Yahshua answered, ‘It is written: Worship Yahweh your Father, and serve Him only.” Luke 4:5-8
When you worship Satan, he will reward you with material possessions and wealth, so that you are fooled into thinking you are on the right path and worshipping the One True God, Yahweh Almighty (that’s not to say that Yahweh does not bless people with wealth).
Sadly, Santa Claus has replaced Yahweh’s place in the hearts of many children around the world. Many children pray and ask Santa Claus to heal sick friends and relatives, bring them gifts on Christmas eve, etc.
Santa has replaced Yahweh as the gracious giver of gifts and the One Who answers their prayers.
“Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for fish, will give him a snake? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him!” Matthew 7:7-11
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights; Who does not change like shifting shadows.” James 1:17
An excerpt from the song Santa Claus is Coming to Town by John Frederick Coots and Haven Gillespie:
He sees you when you’re sleeping, He knows when you’re awake,
He knows if you’ve been good or bad, So be good for goodness sake.
Children are taught that Santa knows and sees everything, and if they’re naughty, they won’t get presents for Christmas.
The Scriptures tell us that Yahweh is Omnipotent and Omnipresent:
“Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your Presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there, if I make my bed in hell, you are there.” Psalm 139:7-8
“The Eyes of Yahweh are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.” Proverbs 15:3
“Is anything too hard for Yahweh?…” Genesis 18:14
“Then Yahshua came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.’” Matthew 28:18
An excerpt from Jolly Old St. Nicholas:
Bobby wants a pair of skates,
Suzy wants a sled
Nellie wants a picture book,
Yellow, blue and red
Now I think I’ll leave to you what to give the rest.
Choose for me, dear Santa Claus;
you will know the best.
The Scriptures tell us that Yahweh knows what we need before we ask Him:
“Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.” Matthew 6:8
Where did Santa come from? He has no father or mother and seems to be eternal… never dies, has no beginning or end.
Only God is everlasting; the Alpha and the Omega — with no beginning and no end:
“Yahweh reigns, He is robed in Majesty; Yahweh is robed in Majesty and armed with strength, indeed, the world is established, firm and secure. Your Throne was established long ago; You are from everlasting.” Psalm 93:1-2
“Yahweh, are You not from everlasting? My God, my Holy One, You will never die; You Father, have appointed them to execute judgement; You, my Rock, have ordained them to punish.” Habakkuk 1:12
“In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your Hands. They will perish but You remain, they will all wear out like a garment; like garments you will change them and they will be discarded. But You remain the same, and Your years will never end.” Psalm 102:25-27
The ‘Spirit of Christmas’ — Santa has his own spirit.
“And I will pray to the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, so that He may live with you forever. The Spirit of Truth; Whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him, neither does it know Him; but you know Him, for He lives with you, and shall be in you.” John 14:16-17
“And the Earth was without form, and void, and darkness was on the surface of the deep; and the Spirit of Yahweh moved upon the surface of the waters.” Genesis 1:2
Children are taught to fear Santa:
You better watch out,
You better not cry
You better not pout,
I’m telling you why
Santa Claus is coming to town… — from Santa Claus is Coming to Town
“Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of Yahweh.” Psalm 34:11
“The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts have good understanding. To Him belongs eternal praise.” Psalm 111:10
Children are taught that they are accountable to Santa:
…He’s making a list,
He’s checking it twice
He’s gonna find out who’s naughty or nice
On Judgement Day, we will all give an account of ourselves to Yahweh for all we did when on earth:
“So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to Yahweh.” Romans 14:12
“And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the Book of Life; the dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.” Revelation 20:12
When children visit Santa Claus in the mall, he’s sitting on his ‘throne’, waiting to receive them, like a king.
“Micaiah continued, ‘Therefore, hear the Word of Yahweh; I saw Yahweh sitting on His Throne with all the multitudes of heaven, standing around Him on His right and on His left.” 1 Kings 22:19
Children are taught from an early age to believe in Santa.
“And in that place many believed in Yahshua.” John 10:42
“And they said, ‘Believe in Master Yahshua, and you will be saved; you and your household.” Acts 16:31
And, as Christmas approaches, they eagerly await him to bring them presents and answer their prayers.
“While we wait for the blessed hope; the appearing of the glory of our Great God and Saviour, Yahshua.” Titus 2:13
We know that Santa Claus is fantasy, he doesn’t really exist, but he represents Satan, and Satan is indeed real, evil and out to get our souls.
The creation of Santa serves a purpose in our lives — one that is diabolical (see Pagan feasts)
So, do you still believe in Santa Claus?
“The individual is handicapped by coming face-to-face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists.” — J. Edgar Hoover, ex-FBI director
